Mobility

The acronym rolls off the tongue. But it’s a concise description of what this vehicle does - All Terrain Mobility Articulated Transport. In an ATMAT, you won’t get stuck. It’s built to give a traversability close to tracked vehicles. In fact, it’s been used as a support vehicle for MBTs.

Front suspension
Air suspension provides the ATMAT with a real boost. The A25F and A30F feature gas-hydraulic front axle suspension. It dampens vibrations to the cab, meaning that the machine can be driven at higher speeds when off-road. It helps to shorten operation cycle times, providing a tangible performance boost.Your mission continues at the end of the transport run. You need your personnel to be fit and able to perform demanding tasks on arrival. The ATMAT suspension system ensures this, as well letting you traverse rough terrain.

Steering

It provides a solid boost to the suspension by keeping the wheels in contact with all terrains. And it’s positioned high - next to the centre of gravity of the vehicle’s load, for good stability and ground clearance.

Tyres
High diameter tyres give a long footprint, essential for good speeds on undulating terrain. Wide tyres provide great stability and low ground pressure for softer surfaces. The ATMAT can also be equipped with solutions for running on flat tyres. The rims, hubs and axles are extremely heavy-duty - which, along with high ground clearance, also helps protect personnel from IEDs.

Handling heavy loads

A transport vehicle is nothing without a great load capability. ATMAT delivers. These vehicles are capable of carrying between 24 and 39 tonnes.Furthermore, the HAMMAR 190 is equipped with a sideloader that can handle heavy loads with ease. Extendable legs mean that there’s no need for counterweights: your loading task can be accomplished in the tightest spaces and most difficult situations. And with a lifting cycle of just 3.5 minutes, there’s no time cost to your operation.
