En 2004 Thalès remporte trois grands programmes de Systèmes d'Information et de Communication devenant le maître d'œuvre de grands systèmes C4ISR (Command, Control, Communications, Computer, Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance)pour les forces armées françaises
SIC 21 Système d'Information et de Commandement de nouvelle génération RIFAN Réseau Intranet des Forces Aero Navales pour la Marine Nationale Française Ils sont une étape importante vers la concrétisation du concept de combat info centré appliqué au domaine naval, le Naval Network Centric Warfare (NCW)
Le SIC 21 offrira à la Marine Nationale un socle technique commun à toutes les applications des systèmes d'information opérationnels de la Marine Nationale qui permettra d'assurer cohérence et pérennité de l'infrastructure sur la durée du programme. SIC 21 sera installé sur 125 sites, déployés sur terre ou embarqués sur des bâtiments ou aéronefs de taille variable.
Le RIFAN est lui un réseau sécurisé IP qui reliera les différents bâtiments de la Marine Nationale entre eux permettant le partage complet de la situation opérationnelle. Il permet un travail en commun entre bâtiments
Il permet à toute unité de s'insérer dans les réseaux C3R (Commandement, Communication, Conduite, Renseignement) nationaux ou internationaux
Le SAEC, Station d'Appui Electronique de Contact pour l'Armée de Terre Française
C’est un maillon essentiel de la maîtrise de l'environnement informationnel du champ de bataille destiné à compléter les moyens de Guerre Electronique de l’Armée de Terre.
Le système permet d’avoir sur une même base (VAB) des capteurs COMINT )Communications Intelligence ) et ELINT( Electronic Intelligence ) ainsi qu'un système d'information et des outils d'aide à l'exploitation immédiate.
Le SAEC regroupe
des capteurs SIGINT( Signals intelligence )
des systèmes d'écoute ;
des moyens de communications de dernière génération VHF (PR4G VS4IP) et HF ;
des modules logiciels mis en œuvre pour différents programmes en matière d'éditeur tactique cartographique, de moyens d'échanges de données conformes au standard d'interopérabilité de l'Armée de Terre.
Les stations SAEC ont vocation à s'intégrer à de grands systèmes terrestres de type BOA, et constituent un des maillons « Renseignement » de la chaîne C4ISR de l'Armée de Terre Française.
En conclusion ces trois systèmes répondent à des enjeux opérationnels clés, communs aux trois milieux Terre Air,Mer
Ils peuvent
1° accélérer le tempo des opérations par la mise en œuvre du concept NEC (Network Enabled Capability),
2° avoir une maîtrise de l informatique sur le champs de bataille au travers de l'intégration croissante des systèmes composant la chaîne C4ISR (Command, Control, Communications, Computer, Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance).en intégrant les sous-systèmes gérant les besoins opérationnels en terme d'interopérabilité, de sécurité et d'évolutivité des systèmes et les systèmes de technologies issus de la gamme civile
3° en capitalisant ensuite tous les programmes antérieurs en matière de SICF ou Systèmes d'Information et de Commandement ou et MAESTRO ou Module Adapté aux Échanges Sécurisés, aux Transmissions et au Raccordement des Opérationnelsc. et de Guerre Electronique et de Renseignement d'Origine Electro Magnétique (MINREM Moyen Interarmées Naval de recherche ElectroMagnétique, SGEA-V)

SIC 21 is an information and Command system of the next-generation RIFAN Intranet network Aero Naval Forces for the French Navy is an important step towards the realization of the concept of combat info center field applied to the shipyard, the Naval Network Centric Warfare (NCW )
SIC 21 would provide to French Navy a technic base common to all applications of information systems operational in the Navy which will ensure consistency and sustainability of the infrastructure on the useful life of the program.
SIC 21 will be installed on 125 sites, deployed on land or on board vessels or aircraft of varying size.
The RIFAN is a secure IP network linking the various ships of French Navy allowing them full sharing of operational status. It allows a joint between ships

The SAEC Station Support Electronics Contact for the French Army
It is a critical element in controlling the network environment of the battlefield to complement the electronic warfare of the Army.
The system provides for on the same frame (VAB) sensors COMINT) Communications Intelligence) and ELINT (electronic intelligence) and a system of information and tools for immediate use.
The SAEC includes
