La Feldmütze est un calot qui a fait son apparition dans l'équipement du soldat allemand vers 1934 . Ce calot es confectionné dans le même drap que l'uniforme et sur sa partie frontale on trouve une cocarde aux couleurs nationales allemandes et l'aigle confectioné en soie artificielle et cousu séparement . Nous trouvont aussi du moins jusqu'en 1941 un V inversé aux couleurs de l'armé . le calot a un bandeau tout autour lui permettant de se rabattre afin de protéger les oreilles.Il possède aussi de chaque coté d'un oeuillet d'aération . Il peut être porté sous le casque lourd
En 1942 le modèle 1935 fut modifié suite aux retours d'expérience du Front de l 'Est . La nouvelle version peut se transformer en cagoule grace à 2 bouton qui permettent de solidariser le bas du bandeau
La feldtmütze ne fut plus fabriquée en 1944 . En effet le Einheitsfelmütze modèle 1943 la remplaça
