Ce canon est le résultat d'une modification du canons Skoda Caliber 15/15 cm (appellation d'origine de 15 cm M.15 Autokanone), et il fut produit de 1919 à 1921 par Skoda de Pilsen à 10 unités (en 1927 le nom de ce modèle a été modifié en canon lourd Vz. 15 / 20 Calibre 15 cm).
