Elle remplaça la M10 Ammunition Trailer datant de la 2° Guerre mondiale qui avait été conçue à l’origine pour être tractée derrière un blindé afin de pouvoir lui procurer une réserve de munitions lors des combats . Elle n’avait pas une bonne presse car elle handicapait le char remorqueur . Pendant la guerre du Vietnam elle fut utilisée pour ravitailler les Artillery Firebases tractées derrière des M35 ou M54

Replaced the M10 Ammunition Trailer from WW2, originally designed to be towed behind amour to allow extra ammunition to be carried into battle, It was found to be unpopular because it hampered the maneuvering of the tow vehicle. During the Vietnam War its was mainly used for the transportation of Ammunition from and to Artillery Firebases. The M35 or M54 were the main tow vehicles.
M332 has special cases.M332 is an ammunition trailer, with various sorts of racks available for the transport of ammunition of different types or weapons. It has air-over-hydraulic brakes and a mechanical parking brake, and the suspension is somewhat better.
The M106 is athe version tank trailer it was used to transport water, but she is capable of carrying fuel) instead of a cargo body.
It has a large filling port on top, two taps on the side, and a draining valve at the rear.
