Histoire
7 mortiers ont été construits, dont un non numéroté, qui a été utilisé pour les essais en Hillersleben, en Allemagne.
Ils ont été numérotés de I à VI.
Un prototype a effectué au début de 1940 a été nommé Fenrir fils de Loki

Le 22.June 1941 les mortiers participent à l opération Barbarossa.
1er Battr / Schw. Art. Abt. (Mot.) 833 sera déployée avec le "IV.Armeekorps", 17.Armee dans H.Gr.Süd à Brest-Litovsk avec Adam Eva ,où Adam tire 16 obus,
Eva s’enraye des le premier coup de canon.
2e Battr / Schw. Art. Abt. (Mot.) 833 est mise en réserve avec la 4.Armee H.Gr.Mitte près Limburg
avec Odin et Thor
Thor tire quatre obus, alos qu’ Odin a des problèmes de casse mécanique.
1941
sw.H.Art.Abt. (mot.) 833 est rééquipée et est utilisée à Lvov.
En juillet 1941 sw.H.Art.Abt. (Mot.) 628 reçoit le canon IV, et en août 1941 les V et VI Loki et Zui qui
sont affectés au sw.H.Art.Abt. (Mot.) 638.

Siège de Sébastopol où Thor et Odin tirent 197 obus.
Octobre 1942 à été 1943
sw.H.Art.Battr.628 utilisé deux Gerät 040 [Karlgerät, 60cm] dont probablement Zui, plus un en réserve.
Le 24 mai 1943 sw.H.Art.Abt. (Mot.) 628 est reformé avec deux Battr de Gerät 040
Juin 1943
les première 54cm canon sont livrés, (trois ont été fabriqués. Thor, Zui et un autre non identifié utilisent ce canon.
Septembre 1943 sw.H.Art.Abt. (Mot.) 628 est rééquipée.
1944
Un système en route pour bombarder Paris est sabordé par son équipage.
Août 1944
la Batterie 638 est en action à Varsovie avec Zui
1944/1945
Odin a été désarmé lors de l'éclatement de son tube.
Le 6 Décembre 1944 la Battr. (T.mot.) (60cm Karl 040) 428 est équipée de deux Gerät 040 et Battr. (Mot.) 638 équipé de deux Gerät Karlgerät 041 [, 54cm].
1945
Loki est perdu en Hongrie alors que l Armée Américaine capture Zui ainsi que Fenrir sur le polygone de tir d’ Hillersleben, où il a été utilisé pour tester le canon 54cm

On 22.June 1941 HQu being formed in WK.III.
1st Battr / schw. Art. Abt.(mot.) 833 was deployed to” IV.Armeekorps”, 17.Armee in H.Gr.Süd near Brest-Litovsk with Adam Eva.
Adam fired 16 rounds, Eva’s first round stuck in the barrel.
2nd Battr / schw. Art. Abt.(mot.) 833 was placed as 4.Armee reserve in H.Gr.Mitte near Lemburg

1944
One gun on its way to bombard Paris was destroyed by its crew.

Battery 638 in action at Warsaw with included Zui
1944/1945
Odin was disabled when its barrel burst.
On December 6th 1944 Battr.(t.mot.)(60cm Karl 040) 428 equipped with two Gerät 040 and Battr.(mot.) 638 equipped with two Gerät 041 [Karlgerät, 54cm].
1945
Loki was lost in Hungary and US Army captured Zui and Fenrir on testing range at Hillersleben , where he was used to test the 54cm barrel.
