Cet hélicoptère a une histoire intéressante.  Il s'agit du Bell-47J2-A numéro de série 2091, produit en Italie en 1965 et acheté par la police yougoslave et enregistré sous le nom de YU-HAL. Il fait parti d'un lot de 12  hélicoptères immatriculés  HAC, HAD, HAE, HAF, HAG, CFA, HAI, HAJ, HAK, HAL, HAM, HAO).
Plus tard, cet hélicoptère (YU-HAL) a affecté au Centre éducatif de la circulation aérienne à Zagreb, Après sa réforme il  a été donné au Musée technique. Pendant la guerre civile , le 27 novembre 1991, faute d'avions, cet hélicoptère a été remis à l'armée croate.
Après son transport à ?akovo, il a été réparé et utilisé sur le champ de bataille . On lui installa des pods  lance-roquettes Migthy Mouse, mais les vols d'essai ont montré une faible efficacité de ces lanceurs.
Le 20 octobre 1993. il est retourné au Musée, en raison d'une augmentation des pannes et du manque de pièces d'entretien,
Les marquages ??originaux ont été repeints (inscription "YU-HAL" et marque "OCZS" sur la queue et "Obrazovni centar zra?nog saobra?aja Zagreb" sur la coque).

Purchased by Yugoslav police and registered as YU-HAL. In total thay buy 12 of these helicopters (registration HAC, HAD, HAE, HAF, HAG, CFA, HAI, HAJ, HAK, HAL, HAM, HAO). Later this helicopter (YU-HAL) shifted the Educational Center of Air Traffic in Zagreb, where he was used to retreat. After the retread was donated to the Technical Museum. During the war, at November 27, 1991, because of lack of aircraft, this helicopter was delivered the Croatian army. After transport in ?akovo, it was repaired and used in Slavonian battlefield. They also tried to install a rocket launchers Migthy Mouse, but test flights showed poor effectiveness of that launchers. October 20, 1993. it was returned to the Museum, because of an increase breakdowns and lack of maintenance parts, where it's today.
Original markings werw overpainted (registration "YU-HAL" and mark "OCZS" on the tail and "Obrazovni centar zra?nog saobra?aja Zagreb" on the hull).
