La station téléopérée Cockerill® CPWS (Cockerill Protected Weapon Station) intègre des technologies de pointe éprouvées ainsi qu’une large gamme de canons moyen calibre de 25 et 30 mm (atk m242 25mm ou m230lf 30 mm, Nexter m811, Oerlikon KBA,…). Elle confère une puissance de feu importante aux véhicules légers à grande mobilité ainsi qu’aux véhicules transporteurs de troupes, augmentant leur capacité d’appui feu, d’autoprotection et de support.
Son équipage peut entièrement recharger le système d’armes de l’intérieur, restant ainsi sous protection du blindage. La Cockerill® CPWS possède une capacité de stockage totale de 150 munitions de moyen calibre, en fonction du type d’arme monté. La Cockerill® CPWS est également équipée d’une mitrailleuse coaxiale de 7,62 mm et peut accueillir différents systèmes supplémentaires comme des lanceurs de grenades.

Contrôle de tir

La Cockerill® CPWS est équipée d’un système d’optique stabilisé bimode à haute performance (thermique) jour/nuit, pour une utilisation 24/7. Le système de visée permet une visibilité panoramique à 360° pour l’utilisateur, indépendamment de la position de la tourelle. Lorsqu’une cible est verrouillée, le canon s’aligne automatiquement avec le système de visée et un ordinateur balistique garantit la plus haute probabilité d’atteinte lors d’un tir en mouvement.

It provides stabilized, survivable, high lethality at low weight. The CPWS significantly increases the operational capability and flexibility of light, high-mobility armoured vehicles.A vehicle crew man can fully serve and reload the weapon system from under armour. The Cockerill® CPWS typically has a total ammunition capacity of 150 medium-calibre rounds, depending on the type of weapon fitted. The Cockerill® CPWS is equipped with a 7.62mm coaxial machine gun and can accept a range of additional sub-systems such as grenade launchers.

Fire Control

The Cockerill® CPWS is equipped with a high-performance stabilized day/night (thermal) sighting system for 24/7 operation. The sighting system provides the User with a panoramic 360° view, independent of turret position. When used to engage a target, the gun automatically aligns with the sighting system and a digital ballistic computer ensures very high hit probability when firing on the move.
